The kettle is the crucible of a brewery; the place where the malt sugar melts and melds with hops. It puts the 'brew' in brewery. I made a design based on a rocket stove. These are highly efficient stove designs that focus on high heat transfer and air flow. The heat travels over the kettle bottom and up the sides, along a pot skirt, then back down the outside of the pot skirt and a heat shield on its way out the chimney. My goal is not to heat a house or bake bread, both of which use fuel and heat in different ways. I created a fast firing stove for slab wood, a by-product of milling lumber which is abundant here. I just recently got all the pieces together, fired it up, and so far so good.
